Shadow effect in video

 



How to add shadow effects in text? 

VSDC Free Video Editor Tutorial.


Another popular text effects is Shadow effect. You can make shadow effect within 1 min. It’s quite easy in VSDC Free Video Editor.

Add Text first:    Click “T” Icon from left side tool bar of the screen

                                 “Object Position Setting” => Click “Ok”

                                  Drag the curser on screen=> click on rectangular shape => Type Text

     “Select” the text from time line bar with your mouse

                                                              
                            Shadow Effect

Add Shadow Effects:   Click “Editor” from menu ribbon

                                         Next Click “Video Effects”

                                         Click “Special FX”

                                        And Go to “Shadow”


Settings Of Shadow Effects:

                                 Properties window => “Shadow Effect Setting”

                                 Light Angle=> Click the “arrow” for Increase and                                                                   Decrease the angle.

                                 Shadow Distance=> Click the Up and down “Arrow”                                                         for Increase and Decrease the Distance.                                  

                                Shadow Color=> Click the Three dots (…) and choose                                                           the color or you can use Pick tool also.

                                Shadow Max Size=> Click up and down “Arrow” for                                                                      Increase and Decrease the Size.                                              

                                Intensity=> Click up and down “Arrow” for Increase                                                        and Decrease  the intensity.

How to Export your project in VSDC Video Editor?

VSDC Video Editing Software has multiple formats to export your video project. You can export according to devices. In this tutorial blog we will learn how to export video, about the formats, and settings.

Open the “Export Project” tab from the menu bar.

Choose a device which you want to play your video file from “Media Players and Device” window

For more device format click the “Arrow”

You can see on “Media Players and Devices” window has 17 types of device format. Each device has many formats. Most demanded video format device is “web” here you can export your project file for “You Tube” “Instagram” “Facebook” “Twitter” “Vimeo” and to “Mp4” also.  It is the best export option because automatically set the pixels and ratio setting according to the chosen web format.

After choose device choose a format from the right hand side ribbon bar.

Choose a format from the ribbon.

Next is set file location and give file name

Output file=>Click “Change Name” button

Set the location first of your file and give a “File Name”

Next setting is “Profile” = in the profile you can change the pixels like for ultra hd quality choose “4k” for full hd quality choose “1080p” for hd quality choose “720p”. Click drop down arrow and choose profile.

After all set then go to “Conversion” from the menu bar

Click “Start Conversion”

Now appear a popup => click “Continue” (without premium feature)

How to add transparent logo in VSDC?

Work hard to create video. You want to protect your video being copied. It sounds like something you have been looking for keep reading this tutorial. We will show you how to add logo and transparent your logo look like watermark in your video.

Add your logo picture:

Click Add picture tool => choose your logo => click “ok”

In Object Position setting no changes are required- just click “Ok”

Align your picture

Click on the picture and put your mouse cursor on the corner of the rectangular selection and move the cursor for preferable size of your logo.

Align the logo top right corners or bottom right corner or middle of the video.

Now make transparent logo

Go to “Editor Menu”

Then “Tools menu”

Click “More tools”

Decrease the opacity as you’re required.

How to make gradient effect in Rectangular Shape?

Gradient effect is most popular effect in the field of video editing effect style. Its a beautiful effect style you can make gradient color in shapes and texts in VSDC. Follow the steps.


Add a Ellipse shape or rectangular shape which you preferred.

Just click on shape which you want, nothing change in Object Position Setting just click "ok"

And drag the curser on text shape and cover the text shape

Select the shape with your mouse and go to "Properties Window"

Go to "Rectangle Object Setting" - In the Rectangle Object Setting scroll to "Brush tool"

Here first option is "Fill Background" click on it and choose "Gradient" little more scroll with your mouse and click "Gradient Setting" and chose your gradient color and Click "ok".

First add  text

Now go to timeline and double click on text layer and open a new timeline.

How to add shapes in VSDC?

Shapes are playing important role in video editing. Rectangular and Circle shape are most demanded shape style in all kind of editing. In VSDC Video Editor we can add, edit Rectangular and Circle shape.

Add Rectangular Shape:

  • Click on Rectangular Shape icon from the left hand side tool bar and then click “ok” the object position setting.
  • Drag the curser in screen with your mouse.
  • Your rectangular shape will display in screen. 
Add Circle:- Click to circle shape icon or "Ellipse tool" then object position setting will appear click "ok" and drag & drop.

How to Edit Shapes in VSDC Video Editor? 

Settings are quite same for all shape. I am edit rectangular shape here.

First select the shape and Align.

Now click on "Shape" for selection and go to "Properties" Window from the right hand side of the screen.

“Round size”:- In the properties window find “Rectangle Object Setting”. In this setting first setting is “Round size” you can change the shape angels, click on “0;0” delete them use backspace and put the number like “20; 20”. You can increase and decrease the round just change the number.  

Pen tool Setting:- In Rectangle object setting second is Pen tool setting. Here you can add border, add border color, Change the thickness of shape border.

  •  For border – Click “Transparency” - select “No”
  •  Click “Color tool”  click on three dots (…) from the right side of the Color tool option and   choose your color of border.
  •  “Thickness”- Increase the number for more thickness and for decrease the thickness decrease the number.

Brush Tool Setting:- In this tool you can change the shape color. Click the color option then click three dots (…) and change the color of shape.

VSDC Free Video Editor| How to add text and Transparent text in VSDC free Video Editor


 How to add text in VSDC Video Editor?

  • First add a picture or video. Want to know how to add Picture, Music and video in vsdc see my previous blog. 
  • Now click on “Text” icon or “T” icon from the left side tool bar. 
  • Then choose “Text” after click a popup window will appear, in this popup window nothing we changed just click “ok”.
  • In the next step you see while the curser move into the screen shown a plus sine, Just click on left mouse button and hold, and drag where you want to add text.
  • Double click inside the rectangle shaped frame and you'll see a cursor.
  • Type your text.

How to edit text in VSDC?

Add Text Color:

 After add a text first we think change the text color and text border color. We can change text color and text border color in VSDC Free Video Editor too. For make changes  first select the text with your mouse and go to "Editor" click "Text color" or A icon and then choose your color from the drop down menu.

Add Text border color:

For change text border color just go to "Editor" from the file menu and click "Contour Color" tool, From the drop down window choose a color . 

You can change the thickness of the text border, click "Contour thickness"  and increase the volume of thickness as required.

How to make Transparent Text in VSDC Video Editor?

One of the most popular video text styles is transparent text, and you can apply it in VSDC too.

First add text

Go to "Editor "from file menu

Click "Text Color" tool

A drop down window will appear from this window make the "Opacity" at 0%

Click "Contour" and from this drop down menu just choose a "color"

Now the last step is increase "Contour thickness"  from 1px to 5px or as your required.

VSDC Free Video Editing| How to add Picture,Video,Music file in VSDC


 How to add image for  make Image Video?

Click "Add image tool" icon-Then appear a window for select picture.





Now from this window Select the image and click open-Now appear the Object's Position Settings popup.


In this popup you can change settings according to your requirement. For beginner default setting is ok,   Now click ok


Now your picture add in timeline


How to add Music for Video?

Click Add Music tool icon-From appear a window select a music rom this window 
and click open  


As same as previous appear Objects Position Setting popup.
 

 click ok

Now your Music also add in timeline

How to add Video clips or video file?

Now video file is almost same process but some interesting settings are there..

Step One

Click Add Video too Icon and same as previous appear a window from this select your Video files (one or more) then click open

After click open this popup will appear.

Now there are two option as you see in the picture no 2


No 1: Add to layer: If you want to direct move all the fills into the timeline then Click Add to Layer button.



No 2: Open in Wizard: If you want to line up files as the sequence of the project, Add transition effects between videos then click the Open in wizard button.


Now In this wizard window we can add a file, click the "Add File" button at the timeline toolbar. If you want to remove a file just select the file and click on the "Remove" button at the timeline toolbar. You can remove all file click "Select all" button and click "Remove" button. In the tool bar have more option like Cut, Splitting the video file, Quick style. You can move files back and forth as per sequence of the Project. Just click and hold the file which you want to move and drag & drop where you want.

To add a transition between files, choose a desired effect from the effect window and select a effect style the click the "Arrow" from the timeline and then click "Add effect" button. You can remove an effect just point your mouse curser on the effect Arrow icon at the timeline then "right click"  and choose remove effect.

While all are set then click "Apply Setting."




Now add all elements in the timeline ready for export.
